A very long time ago when I was taking the baby bar, someone on this forum told me that there is an old baby bar exam out there that somehow leaked to the public. I did some hunting and found it.
Now I am wondering are there any MBE questions for the general bar that are available out there? I am not talking about the stuff in Strategies and Tactics that everybody knows about, I am talking about something that is not known to the general public.
The NCBE releases official past MBE questions through their store at ncbex.org — they sell practice question booklets that are actual retired exam questions, and these are worth the cost because the question style and difficulty is calibrated exactly to the real exam in a way that commercial prep questions often aren't.
For MEE essays, the NCBE releases past questions and selected answers going back several years on their website at no cost. Highly recommend working through these under timed conditions — 30 minutes per essay — and then comparing your answer to the published selected answers. The selected answers aren't "model" answers in the sense of being perfect, but they show you the level of organization and depth the graders are looking for.
If you're looking for a specific state's essay questions, most state bars publish past exams through their admissions offices. Some require a records request, others post them publicly. Worth emailing the admissions office directly and asking.
