On the positive side: first-pass case summaries are genuinely useful for getting up to speed on an unfamiliar area quickly, and the time saved on initial research is real. I'd estimate I'm cutting initial research time by 30-40% on straightforward motions.
The concern: I've caught hallucinations twice — citations that looked plausible but either didn't exist or didn't stand for the proposition stated. Neither would have made it into a brief without my review, but it reinforced that these tools need a careful second pass on every output.
